With this and Starfy 2 coming out on the Japanese Wii U Virtual Console earlier this month... hint that we are finally getting Starfy 6 and/or the first 3 games on the English Wii U Virtual Consoles?

I really hope so. It's great that the second game in the series was released so quickly after the first, and people on Miiverse loved it.

Will he be available for European and North American players of Super Mario Maker? I remember either unlocking or just playing as Shinya Arino from Game Center CX on European Super Mario Maker.

Not long after the Japan VC release of Densetsu no Starfy 2, Densetsu no Starfy 3 has been scheduled to be released for Japan VC on April 6th 2016.

Kyubi and I were chatting about how there has been more support for Starfy recently through Youtube and social media, we both have a good feeling that there may be a sixth game soon. Additionally, Kyubi said Hitoshi Yamagami may not be working on any large project right now other than Pokémon Sun and Moon. Hitoshi Yamagami expressed his love for the series in Nintendo Power Volume 244, page 74. He said that The Legendary Starfy series is like his own child, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's working on getting more fully involved with Starfy in relation to a future title.

Even then we don't know how much Yamagami is involved with it,even if he is at all. It was just an assumption,since he previously has worked on mainseries pokemon titles

Another thing I noticed is that the latest game Yamagami worked on was fire emblem fates,which was released in Japan in summer 2015. We havent heard what he is currently working on ,which could possibly mean he is working on a new starfy title. Who knows but we just have to be hopeful
