I'm LeslieLaPerm. I'm British, and I have been a long time fan of Nintendo games, though the Starfy series is my favourite. My first console was the Genesis, but I quickly got into Nintendo with the Gameboy series and Gamecube, and have stuck with them ever since. I enjoy RPing, and talking with friends about games I like. I have a Deviantart account (http://lesthetimesweeper.deviantart.com/), but only use it for RPing and talking with my friends because I can't draw very well. Ever since I got the Legendary Starfy in 2009 while I was on vacation in America, I got really into the Starfy series (It actually being my favourite game series) and got the other 4 games as well. My favourite is Densetsu No Stafy 2. Unfortunately, us Europeans got it even worse than the Americans when it came to this series being localized, as NONE of the Starfy series were released in Europe. They didn't even give us a reason for it like the Americans (Though the "too Japanese" reason the Americans gave sounds like a huge lie, as much more Japanese games have been localized there. The real reason is probably not wanting to translate everything, due to the huge amount of text in the series), either. I'm hoping to spread more awareness about the series.

I cannot draw very well at all. Now I am not along in that! GameBoy series is awesome stuff, you will fit right in here. I even made a topic about GameCube games. We got the "too Japanese" line from Nintendo, I think. We Americans did not say it. So many RPGs were translated with loads of text, but I guess the sells would not match the effort.

My favourite is Densetsu No Stafy 2. Welcome LeslieLaPerm! I hope you enjoy your stay. It's nice to see another British Starfy fan. I am British too, and am like you. I also grew up with the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance, where I personally loved playing games like Pokémon, and the GBA ports of Yoshi's Island, Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros. 2. I also grew up with the GameCube, where some of the games I loved included Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Mario Sunshine, Pokémon Colosseum, Pokémon XD and Mario Party 4. Cool, I also like talking to friends about games. I'm happy you like RPing. If you like, I could start a Starfy role play for you on the forum games? The Legendary Starfy is also my favourite video game series. That's nice. I hope you enjoyed America. The way that I got into the series may be a little interesting. Long story. Wiki editing is one of my passions. I feel why I find it interesting is related to me having this passion of studying Pokémon glitches and the idea of discovery, learning about things that not many people know about. Naturally I have also always had the desire to think through things deeply, have an open mind, and to analyze, so I was into physics and sociology at school. I also love to work hard at what I love. At the same time, I love being creative; whether it be discovering something new and writing about it (I love to make Pokémon glitch videos), or drawing. I also like to be expressive. I have always had a huge passion for birds and chickens and loved dinosaurs a lot at one time, although at times I am a little quiet, and articulating my thoughts can be difficult as I have high-functioning autism. When the forums I post on about Pokémon glitches started a wiki, it got me interested in wiki editing and it became one of my greatest passions. In particular I loved the documentation side of it, it was a great way to create something productive, and maybe later revise on what you had found. Later in 2010, I came across a Youtube video that was a Densetsu no Starfy run that exploited a title screen glitch known as the demo glitch that was documented in Japan before, where you wait on the title screen and exit the demo sequence where Starfy is jumping into the Balloon and his coordinates are above the Balloon; causing the game to de-sync and let you take control and skip to the last stage for the next demo. I thought that it was a really interesting glitch, but more so I loved how the game looked. The title screen was inviting and I enjoyed the music, the cute characters and how Starfy always had a cheerful happy expression on his face. I think I may have heard about the fifth game in the series The Legendary Starfy prior to this, and I thought about buying it, but I was expecting it to come out in Europe and of course, it never did and unfortunately I didn't have eBay at this time to buy it. I later came across the Starfy Wiki on Wikia in some way, so I decided to create an article about the Demo glitch. I heard that they were planning to move over into independence into an alliance called Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance and that they needed help uploading all of the images on to the independent wiki, so I helped them and uploaded all of the images. I asked my mother if she could buy me The Legendary Starfy for my birthday. I loved it, so I improved and wrote articles about the games and eventually it got me really passionate about Starfy. In February 2011, my mother let me get an eBay so I bought my second game (I think it was either Starfy 2 or Starfy 1, I'm unsure), which I fell in love with. I met some great friends on the wiki, like The Forgotten Beast (the former editor in chief), Star Light, Kagegamer12, later Starphoria. I was not very extrovert, but I loved their company and they were all friendly highly supportive people who helped me build my confidence. They helped me build my passion, I wanted to fill up the wiki, and eventually I played through all five games. I later found a website called NinDB, which is a site that documents Nintendo games including obscure titles, and it then became my passion to explore new Nintendo franchises, in particular the lesser known ones. Yes. It's a shame. :/ Yes. I'm personally unsure because I don't know the text well enough, and think that maybe there may have been a considerable amount of things that were more orientated to a Japanese culture. I don't feel that Nintendo were necessarily unwilling, just concerned. But I do feel that it would have been worth Nintendo localizing the game for an overseas release. Hopefully we can spread awareness through this forum if it takes off.

Nice to meet you all! It's also awesome to see another British Starfy fan, torchickens! Truth be told, I'm currently in America right now. The Starfy role play sounds interesting, I think it would be fun. I'm also a fan of the Megaman series (Particularly the X and ZX series), Kingdom Hearts, and 90's cartoons like Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, Darkwing Duck, etc.

: D
I have heard of Zack and wiki but not the other two (or then i heard them briefly)
As for me I like obscure games like Tomato adventure or that one gb frog game with really long japanese name. I also enjoy some more niche videogame genres like SRPGS.
