This thread is to focus and praise the BGM composed by Youko Matsutani and most notably, Morihiro Iwamoto. Post your favorite original, arrange and remix songs here.
Unfortunately, VGMdb, VGMusic and OCRemix lack a lot of related songs.

My favorite starfy bgm are follwowing
Stranded whale (dns)
Sea of ice (dns)
Pufftop palace theme (dns,dns2,tls )
The theme in dns2 where you ride the dragon (I think)
The dns3 and dns4 versions of lobbers cave
Hero lobber (especially the dns 3 version)
Surrounded by Evil (dns 3,almost forgot to mentoin this one but i love it. Short yet sweet in a sinister way)
The lets go theme (tls)
The final boss theme of tls
Just to name a few
Also the only remixes I have heard are the 8 bit demixes of Hero lobber and Jashin Evil that were used in the megaman minus infinity rom hack and a tone of ocean remix (which i only found once :/). There is at least one more remix

Music makes a game for me. I cannot get into a game if the music is horrible.

I like all the tunes you listed, except the Evil theme (which I'm not sure what translates to anymore). I haven't listened to Ryun (the dragon)'s theme for a while but now I listen to it again I really like it. Another tune that I love is Starfy 4's Ending 1 tune. It sounds very emotional and when it played I felt sorry for Starfy. There was a fan Japanese video game album called Primary BOX 4 and it had a remix of the Title Theme called Tone of Ocean Nata de Coco. Unfortunately, VGMdb, VGMusic and OCRemix lack a lot of related songs. Your thread inspired me to listen to some Metal Gear Solid: Ghost Babel music to see if there are any tunes that sound like Starfy, since Youko Matsutani was one of the composers (with Morihiro Iwamoto), but I sadly don't know much about her. It's interesting how she is in the credits for the first Densetsu no Starfy but not the later games. Morihiro Iwamoto worked on the Dr. Mario music for Dr. Mario & Puzzle League. Morihiro Iwamoto is also one of the authors (composer it's likely) of Tingle's Balloon Fight DS. The instruments on the title screen remind me of Starfy like the Dr. Mario & Puzzle League music. |

Just bought three physical copies of Starfy 1-3 so I could finally own them legally. Hopefully if Starfy 6 becomes a thing, it'll revive the forum
